Distribution Case Study

In the spring of 2006 Cargo Express successfully tendered for the UK distribution of awnings and sun blinds for a German manufacturer.

The awnings are made to individual specification and designs can be over seven metres long and 150 kgs in weight. this makes them very difficult to handle through conventional distribution networks.

The previous European and UK distributors has consistently delivered the product damaged The high cost of damaging a unique product was not the only problem. Specialist installation teams scheduled to fit the awnings had to be rescheduled at extra cost.

By demonstrating our commitment to customer service and our ability to distribute goods with the minimum handling was the key to winning nth business.
